This 50kW system was installed without cost to the School by Kennet Community Energy.

Since installation in 2014 the system has generated over 140,000 units of electricity, saving money for the School which can concentrate their spending in other areas whilst reducing their Carbon footprint. 99.9% of the electricity generated has been used in the School.

The technology has also provided the Science Department a valuable teaching aid with a visual display located in that area where students can see the amount of electricity generated at any one time.

The School have no responsibility to maintain the installation but will continue to reap the benefits for 20 years.
