Oakray Renewables are in the final stages of completing a new 5MW system on a 30 acre site in Corsham. With the last few panels out of 20,000 (!) to install, Oakray Renewables have nearly completed our biggest install to date!
With such a quick turn around from planning with the customer and grid connection go ahead, this major install has taken only 8 weeks to build. Oakray Renewables undertook all work from design to compliance and grid connection to project managing and completing install.
The Solar farm is sympathetically located on otherwise low quality farm land. The installation will save on average 2,150 tonnes of CO2 annually helping reduce the carbon emissions in the local countryside.
The Solar Farm will start generating in late June and the panels are built to last over 25 years! That’s a lifetime saving of over 50,000 tonnes of CO2.
